Murt, Dean to Host Emergency Responders and Military Opportunities Day
HARRISBURG—Rep. Tom Murt (R-Montgomery/Philadelphia) will host an Emergency Responders and Military Opportunities Day to give high school and college students, as well as those seeking new employment options, the chance to learn more about careers in the military or as a first responder. The event is being co-hosted by Rep. Madeleine Dean (D-Montgomery).

“This is a great opportunity to learn more about the many opportunities for those who want a career protecting their communities and the country,” Murt said.

The event will take place Feb. 3, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Settlement Music School, 318 Davisville Road in Willow Grove.

All branches of the military and local emergency responders will be represented, including the Army National Guard, Air National Guard, ROTC, Civil Air Patrol, the Pennsylvania State Police, the Upper Moreland and Abington Police Departments, the Upper Moreland Second Alarmers, and Valley Forge Military Academy and College.

Information tables will be open from 10-11:30 a.m., followed by presentations at 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and a question-and-answer session from 1-2 p.m.
