Murt to ‘Work’ at Local Small Businesses
HARRISBURG--In a move to learn firsthand the challenges faced by local small businesses, Rep. Thomas Murt (R-Montgomery/Philadelphia) will volunteer a few hours at a local business.

“Small business owners are the backbone of our community,” Murt said. “I think it’s critical that legislators fully understand firsthand what they face. That’s why I’m undertaking this project.”

Murt will spend a few hours on the job at Lochel’s Bakery, 57 S. York Road in Hatboro.

“Lochel’s Bakery is a full-line retail bakery located on the main street in Hatboro,” Murt said. “They are one of our best neighbors and understand the needs of the consumer and the business owner. I hope to learn a great deal from my time there.”

Murt will be working at Lochel’s on Friday, Nov. 18, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

“I want to encourage people to stop by and say hello,” Murt said. “Lochel’s has been family owned and operated for over 72 years and has been in Hatboro since 1995. The owners, Rob and Kathleen Lochel, offer a large selection of homemade and great tasting products.”

If you are a small business owner and would like to host Murt at your establishment, please call Murt’s office at 215-674-3755 to set up a visit.
