Murt to Host DAV Van to Aid Veterans
HARRISBURG—Rep. Tom Murt (R-Montgomery/Philadelphia) will host the Disabled American Veterans’ (DAV) van at his district office, 19 S. York Road in Hatboro, on Friday, May 27, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

During this event, DAV officers will be available to educate disabled veterans and their families on specific veterans’ benefits and services, and assist with the completion of required applications. Veterans are asked to bring their claim number, Social Security number, a photo ID and DD-214.

“I encourage all disabled veterans to stop by my office to find out what benefits might be available to them,” Murt said. “There is no need for an appointment; walk-ins will be accepted.”

In addition, the Montgomery County Recorder of Deeds will be on hand to issue veterans free photo ID cards to receive discounts for goods and services from participating county merchants. Veterans will be able to present these cards to Montgomery County businesses who have agreed to provide a discount to Montgomery County veterans in appreciation for the veterans’ service to our country.

Veterans will be able to receive the ID card immediately. A list of participating merchants can be found at and will be updated monthly.

For questions about this event, please contact Murt’s district office at 215-674-3755.
