LOWER MORELAND
—Rep. Thomas Murt (R-Montgomery) held a comprehensive eye care informational program at Lower Moreland High School Oct. 16 to help residents better understand the importance of vision health.

“Maintaining good eye health is critical particularly as you age,” Murt said. “We held this event because we saw a need to share this information with the people of Montgomery County.”

Murt, who cosponsored the event with Rep. Madeleine Dean (D-Montgomery), hosted local eye care experts, who spoke about warning signs, early detection symptoms, and preventive measures and treatments available to prevent and treat vision loss, glaucoma, cataracts and macular degeneration.

“I want to thank everyone who took part, and trust they came away with a better understanding of the care and treatment of their eyes,” Murt said.
