Murt to Host Vision Health Information Event
10/3/2014
HARRISBURG--Rep. Thomas Murt (R-Montgomery) will host an informational event to educate residents on the importance of vision health.

“Vision is an essential part of everyday life, influencing how Americans of all ages learn, communicate, work, play and interact with the world,” Murt said. “Yet many Americans live with visual impairment, and many more remain at risk for eye disease and preventable eye injury. I hope this event will educate residents on the importance of eye health.”

Four doctors will speak on the early warning signs of health problems, the importance of early detection, symptoms, and the preventive measures and treatments that can be taken to prevent or decrease the impact of vision loss, glaucoma, cataracts and macular degeneration.

The event, co-sponsored with Rep. Madeleine Dean (D-Montgomery), will take place on Oct. 16, 7-9 p.m., at the Lower Moreland High School, 555 Red Lion Road in Huntingdon Valley.
