Murt Announces Alcohol Awareness Poster Contest for Students
HARRISBURG-- Rep. Thomas Murt (R-Montgomery/Philadelphia) is encouraging students to take part in the 2014-15 Alcohol Awareness Poster Contest hosted by the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (LCB).

The contest is open to all Pennsylvania students in kindergarten through 12th grade, including those who are home-schooled or in private or parochial schools.

“This contest is a creative and fun way for students to show and learn the positive alternatives to underage drinking, such as getting involved in sports, playing games or volunteering in their community,” Murt said. “It’s also important that students send messages to their peers through these posters.”

Approximately 50 outstanding posters will be selected by a panel of judges. The LCB will contact the winning artists in early 2015 and recognize them at a ceremony in Harrisburg during Alcohol Awareness Month.

Entries must be postmarked no later than Friday, Nov. 21, 2014, and mailed to Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board, Northwest Office Building, Room 113, Harrisburg, PA 17124-0001.

If you have any questions, please contact the LCB office at 717-772-1432.
