Murt to Hold Candlelight Vigil to Promote Peace and Tolerance

WHAT: Rep. Thomas Murt (R-Montgomery) is hosting a candlelight vigil to promote peace, tolerance and understanding in the community. This event is being held in response to the recent, unsolicited, local distribution of literature promoting discrimination and intolerance.

Area Lawmakers to Host Veterans Expo Nov. 20

BLUE BELL – Working to ensure veterans have the support and services they need, area lawmakers are joining together to host a Veterans Expo on Monday, Nov. 20, from 9 a.m. to noon in College Hall at Montgomery County Community College.

Murt, Dean to Host Overdose Awareness Walk and Hope Expo

WHAT: Reps. Thomas Murt (R-Montgomery/Philadelphia) and Madeleine Dean (D-Montgomery) will host an Overdose Awareness Walk and Hope Expo to draw attention to the growing crisis of opioid addiction in the community. The Overdose Awareness Walk will start at Hatboro Baptist Church, proceed south on York Road to Horsham Road, cross York Road and return north on York Road back to the church. The Expo will take place on the church grounds from 1-4 p.m.
