HARRISBURG—Rep. Thomas Murt (R-Montgomery/Philadelphia) will host a special Military Family Information Day to help veterans and their loved ones learn more about the services available to them.
“Because they do so much for us, I wanted to create an event where the families of those currently serving and those who have served could connect with the state and local services that are available for them,” Murt said.
The event will take place Saturday, June 1, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Home Depot parking lot, 2250 Easton Road in Willow Grove.
Among those scheduled to be on hand are the North Penn Chapter American Gold Star Mothers, Montgomery County Veterans Affairs, the American Red Cross, Wounded Warrior Project and PA Wounded Warriors, Freedom Steps, Wings of Freedom C45, PA Mobil Veterans Outreach Van, VFW Post # 3612, Recorder of Deed’s producing veterans ID cards, Health Link Dental Clinic, VFW National Home for Children, PSU Veterans Outreach, BSA Cub Pack 554, Home Depot Kids Clinic, Wreaths Across America, Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing, Liberty USO, Operation Homefront, and Medical Humvee from Unit 338 Medical Brigade.
