HARRISBURG—Rep. Thomas Murt (R-Montgomery/Philadelphia) will host a Military Family Information Day to connect local military families and veterans with resources available to them.

“Military families have many special needs that we, as a community, must come together to help meet,” Murt said. “That’s why I’m bringing together groups like Operation Homefront and the North Penn Chapter American Gold Star Mothers to meet with local parents and spouses who are dealing with the challenges of having a loved one serving.”

The gathering will be held June 3, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Willow Grove Shopping Center on Park Avenue across from the Upper Moreland Library, 109 Park Ave.

Among those scheduled to attend are Freedom Steps, Montco Vet Affairs, Meghan’s Foundation, No Dog Gets Left Behind, Shamrock Reins, Alpha Bravo Canines, Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors, Mission BBQ, Tony Ronis Pizza, and Girl Scout troops that have been sending letters to troops.
