Murt Bill to Improve Mental Health Parity Passes House

HARRISBURG—The House has passed legislation sponsored by Rep. Tom Murt (R-Montgomery/Philadelphia) to require insurance companies show the Pennsylvania Department of Insurance that they are offering mental health coverage with the same parity as they do coverage for physical illness.

Murt Demands Investigation into 1985 Sex Abuse Case in Lower Merion

Thomas Murt (R-Montgomery/Philadelphia) will introduce a resolution urging the House Children and Youth Committee to establish a subcommittee to investigate a former Lower Merion School District teacher who has been accused of sexually abusing a 13-year-old student in 1985 at Bala Cynwyd Middle School.
